LOST AT SEA

The Wild Rover

Well I've been a wild rover for many a year

And I spent all me money on whiskey and beer
And now I'm returning with gold in great store
No I never will play the wild rover no more

I said NO, NAY, NEVER!!!
No, nay, never, no more
Will I play the wild rover
No never, no more

I went to an alehouse I used to frequent
I told the landlady me money was spent
I asked her for credit, she answered me nay
Such a custom of yours I could have any day

I took from me pocket ten sovereigns bright
The landlady's eyes opened wide with delight
She said I have whiskey and wines of the best
And the words that I spoke sure were only in jest

I went to me parents, confessed what I've done
I asked them to pardon their prodigal son
And if they forgive as oft times before
No I never will play the wild rover no more

Old Brown's Daughter

There is an ancient party at the other end of town
He keeps a little grocery store, the ancient's name is Brown
And he has a lovely daughter, such a treat I never saw
Oh, I only hope someday to be the old man's son-in-law

Old Brown sells off his shelf most any, anything you please
He's got juice tarts for the little boys and lollipops and cheese
And his daughter minds the store, and it's a treat to see her server
Well, I'd like to run away with her, but I don't have the nerve

Old Brown's daughter is a proper sort of girl
Old Brown's daughter is as fair as any pearl
I wish I were a lord, mayor, a marquis, or an earl
And blow me if I wouldn't marry Old Brown's girl
Blow me if I wouldn't marry Old Brown's girl

Well, poor Old Brown now has trouble with the gout
He grumbles in his little parlour when he can't get out
And when I make a purchase Lord, and she hands me the change
Well, that girl she makes me pulverized, I feel so very strange

Miss Brown smiles so sweetly as I say a tender word
But Old Brown says that she must marry a marquis or a lord
And I don't suppose it's ever any one of those things I'll be
But by jingo next election I will run for trinity

City That We Love
We'll stroll into the city, we'll find ourselves a pub
We'll drink ourselves silly in the city that we love
And the finest beer we'll drink as we bust into a song
Tell stories bout the city, the city that we love

Well, well, well...

Pour another round for the night has just begun
We'll gather in the city, a city that we love

So the men will give a toast for in comes Mayor Tom
The mayor of the city, the city that we love
Mayor Tom will give a speech, perhaps a little long
A speech about the city, the city that we love

We'll dance in the streets as the fireworks go off
They light up all the city, the city that we love
And we'll stumble our way home when night has turned to dawn
We'll dream about our city, the city that we love

My Dream
From the depths of my soul
I am yearning for you
It's beyond my control
What should I do?

My dream
My dream is to be with you
My dream

You're a beautiful sight
And I'll free all your pain
We'll dance through the night
And we'll kiss in the rain

I need you here
Come find me my love
Let your heart guide you
I will find you
Wherever you are
I will save you
