03/10/08 - FOUR NIGHTS, FOUR SHOWS: ST. PATRICK'S DAY 2008
If there is a time of year that Fiffin Market looks forward to the most, it would have to be St. Patrick's Day.  Last year, St. Patrick's Day kicked us off into a crazy year which included playing over 50 shows, touring, and releasing our new album
Lost At Sea.  This year will be just as important, and just as crazy.  We are playing four shows in four consecutive nights, so there are plenty of opportunities for you to come see your favorite Irish band of San Diego.  We will be giving away some special St. Patrick's Day coasters and selling brand new t-shirts and tank tops to go along with our full-length album Lost At Sea.  So, grab a pint and get ready for a great time.  Slainte!

02/18/08 - 710 BEACH CLUB FINALS, PHOTO SHOOT, MUSIC VIDEO

We will be participating in the finals of a "battle of the bands" competition this Saturday down near the pier in Pacific Beach at the 710 Beach Club. We are going up against a couple rock bands and a rockabilly band. Needless to say, I think we will stand out a bit. The more support we can get, the better our chances of winning, so please come down to Pacific Beach this Saturday and root for Fiffin Market.

Our first professional photo shoot will be taking place this Sunday with Ring Around My Heart Photography. If there is one thing we lack, it is some decent band photos for our website, MySpace page, and flyers. We will be taking many different shots, so lookout for a new Fiffin Market in the next few weeks (there is more meaning into that statement than you think).

The last thing we will be doing before the our big St. Patrick's Day weekend is shooting a music video for our song "Molly Malone" off our new album Lost At Sea. Our friend David from Las Vegas is coming to town to film the video. He is a pro and we are excited to work with him on this project. The shoot will take place in two weeks and and should be up on the website, YouTube, and MySpace by that same weekend. This is our first music video as well, so how cool is that.

That about sums up Fiffin Market activity until St. Patrick's Day. Even when we don't have shows we are still busy. We also should have some more big news to announce in a week or two so be on the lookout for that.

01/22/08 - HAPPY NEW YEAR...HERE WE GO!!!

Happy 2008 everyone!  We had a much deserved break for the holidays, but are back in business for the new year.  First, we have some big news regarding our drummer Brinton.  He will be spending the first two weeks of February touring with the
The Tennessee Three.  If you haven't heard of them, they were the band for Johnny Cash.  This is a HUGE deal for Brinton to play drums with them and we wish him lots of luck on the tour.  In the meantime, Gary Dotson will fill in for Brinton and he already has been put to work.  We played two awesome shows over the weekend - Gallagher's on Friday and our first show in Temecula at Killarney's on Saturday.  We have a bunch of shows in the planned as we prepare to push our new album Lost At Sea this year.  A photo shoot is planned when Brinton returns in late February and a music video for a song to be determined is scheduled for March.  Our goal is to bring things to the next level this year and we hope you all can be a part of it.  See you at the shows and stay tuned for a great 2008!

12/24/07 - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! This is our favorite time of year because we get to spend time with our family and friends, drink eggnog, sing carols, and celebrate the birth of Jesus. It has been a great year for Fiffin Market and we all are taking a holiday for a few weeks to unwind and get ready for a busy 2008! So, from everyone here in Fiffin Market (Kimberly, Beau, Marcel, Brinton, & Odell) - MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!

11/22/07 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  We have a lot to be thankful for this year.  Thank you to our families, friends and fans who have supported our music, came to the shows, and recognized a good time.   Have a safe and wonderful holiday!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving we would like to give a shout out to Gallagher’s and Cosmos for hosting our two Lost At Sea release shows last month.  Not only were the shows a success, we were able to end that week on a good note considering our county was on fire.  Thank you to the brave men and women firefighters who saved thousands of homes and lives!

After the CD Release shows we hit the road for our annual Autumn Forever Tour.  We played four new venues to us and had a blast at each stop.  We even got invited back to play two shows next month at McMullan’s Irish Pub in Vegas (next to The Orleans).   It was nice to play outside San Diego County and we plan on increasing our road trips in 2008.  After the holiday we are playing two shows a week for three straight weeks up until the end of the year.  So get ready to end 2007 with a bang!

11/22/07 – WE ARE ON iTUNES!!!
We just found out you can purchase our new album Lost At Sea on iTunes.  Grab your iPods and iPhones and start downloading your favorite Fiffin Market songs.  You can also purchase the actual album at our live shows, Glorified Records Store, and CD Baby.   Get your copy of Lost At Sea…um…now!!!

09/28/07 - THE HUNT FOR A GREAT OCTOBER
Next month will be the most exciting month in Fiffin Market history.  Not only do we have eight shows booked, we will be releasing our brand new album Lost At Sea on October 26.  We have waited months for this day to come and we want everyone to come celebrate.  We will be having two CD release shows to kick off the new record.  The first show will be at Gallagher's Pub & Grill in Ocean Beach on Friday, October 26.  This is a 21+ venue so be ready to drink some pints and buy our new album.  The next night, Saturday, October 27, we will be headlining a special Acoustic San Diego Night at Cosmos Cosmos Cafe in La Mesa.  All ages are welcome at Cosmos, so buy our record, a vanilla latte and enjoy CD Release show #2.  Keep voting for your favorite songs on MySpace and check out the latest installment of FMTV.  Get ready for a crazy month of October...it is going to be amazing!

08/19/07 - LOST AT SEA IS DONE AND SO MUCH MORE...
After two months in the studio we are finally finished with our new album Lost At Sea.  We are so proud of this record and we are now able to share it with you!  We would personally like to thank Mike Kamoo at Earthling Studios for all his hard work and guidance.  Make sure to check out his band The Stereotypes if you get the chance - a very cool indie rock vibe.  Because of our situation with the stolen trailer, we have had to put off releasing Lost At Sea until this fall.  But, we decided to make it available today online at our brand new MySpace Store powered by SNOCAP.  You are now able to download individual tracks from Lost At Sea for just $0.99, or purchase the entire 15-track album for just $12.87.  Our debut effort The Monterey and even some Christmas songs are up there too.  The actual Lost At Sea release is only a few months away and we will be celebrating with a big show so stay tuned...

Each week we will be conducting a poll on our MySpace page to determine the four songs to be featured there.  Vote as often as you can for your favorites to keep them playing each week.  We will keep a grand total and the top four songs at the time of our CD release show will stay up there until we record new songs.  This is a way for us let the fans decide what they want to hear and choose the songs that best represent Fiffin Market.  You can listen to 30- second clips of all the songs in our new MySpace Store.  Let the voting begin!!!

There is a new face in Fiffin Market.  We would like to welcome Jon Ford to our group of Marketeers.  He will be playing the role of lead guitar and fellow yelper on "The Wild Rover".  He added some amazing parts to our new album and he is anxious to get out there and play them live.  So if you see Jon at one of our upcoming shows make sure you say hi and buy him a pint...or a cup of coffee.

Fiffin Market also has a PureVolume page.  We will feature the song that came in fifth in our weekly poll as well as other songs from past records.  You can download an exclusive version of our song Heartbeat too.  Make sure you keep PureVolume on your Fiffin Market checklist.

If you haven't noticed our MySpace page has a new look geared toward the artwork of our new album Lost At Sea.  We will be adding more features such as video blogs and contests so make sure to keep checking in from time to time.  Right now you can watch the adventures of Charlie The Unicorn and his quest to Candy Mountain.  Good times!

With our new songs in hand we will be pursuing some more regular gigs and getting ready for the big CD release this fall.  Make sure you vote for your favorite songs from Lost At Sea on MySpace and check out the new store where you can purchase all the Fiffin Market catalog to date.  We will be headlining the first Acoustic San Diego Night at Cosmos on Saturday, August 25 in La Mesa, CA.  See you at the show and enjoy the music of Fiffin Market!!!

07/21/07 - GOOD NEWS & BAD NEWS
Good News:  We begin mixing Lost At Seaon Monday and should have some songs up on MySpace in a week or two.  The artwork is almost done.   Our vacation to Vegas was fantastic.  And we have three shows coming up in August including an Acoustic San Diego show at Cosmos Coffee Cafe.  Also we will have some more news to announce later this week.

Bad News:  Our trailer was stolen outside of Marcel's house in Santee early Wednesday morning around 2:30 AM.  Inside was all our PA equipment including amps and 6 speakers (including 2 brand new Yamaha BR12M monitors), all of Marcel's bass gear including his bass, our banner, mic stands, etc.  We don't understand how some people can just steal things like that but we will move forward and eventually they will be brought to justice.  If you hear anything regarding our equipment please let us know.  The trailer brand is Wells Cargo.  We have decided to finish the album and keep moving forward.  We will keep you posted on any new developments.

06/27/07 - LOST AT SEA IS HALFWAY DONE
We have reached the halfway point to our next album Lost At Sea.  Drums, bass, and most of the guitar tracks  have been recorded and we start vocals this week.  We are very pleased with how everything is coming out and can't wait to share it with everyone.  Mike Kamoo is a great engineer and is really capturing our sound at Earthling Studios.  In between recording sessions we have been busy playing a bunch of shows including three stints at the San Diego County Fair, a first for Fiffin Market.  All our shows have been real good this month and we still have two more left.   So as summer heats up we will finish recording, play some more shows, and get ready to release our album in August or early September.   Make sure you pick up MXPX's new album "Secret Weapon" on July 17 from Tooth & Nail Records, it sounds amazing!  See you at the shows!

05/23/07 - LOST AT SEA UPDATE AND REGULAR GIGS
Sorry for the lack of updates recently.  Alot has been going on here in the Fiffin Market camp.  We have been talking about our new album Lost At Sea for awhile now and it is still in the works.  We had been recording the album ourselves at The Shack and finished the music to 15 songs, but it wasn't quite right.  While it came out pretty good and had a nice raw feel to it, we have decided that we wanted to go into a more polished studio and put out an album that really represents our current sound with a professional quality.  So, we have gone back to our roots and will record Lost At Sea at Earthling Studios in El Cajon, CA with Mike Kamoo.  Beau and Marcel go way back with Mike to the days of their old band Wilcox.  He is a great engineer and producer and we are very excited to record with him.  We begin our session on June 11 and plan on going into the beginning of July.  We have cut down the songs, and added some new tracks as well.  We are looking at 12-14 traditional and original tunes for your listening pleasure.  The time is booked so look for a release in August.  Right now we are finishing up pre-production on the songs.  Thank you so much for your patience!
One reason why the recording has been put off is because our schedule has really filled up.  Ever since St. Patrick's Day our song list has nearly doubled and we now play three hour sets at a couple of really great Irish pubs in San Diego County.  Now, every other Saturday you will find us at Thornton's Irish Pub & Chop House in El Cajon, CA.  Home of some great food and a real laid back Irish atmosphere, Thornton's is the only place in East County where you will find traditional Irish music and drinking songs on a regular basis (provided by yours truly).  Additionally, every other Wednesday night you can find Fiffin Market in downtown San Diego as the main attraction at Hennessey's on the corner of 4th & G.  Hennessey's also has great food and the kitchen is open to the wee hours of the night.  These regular gigs give everyone a chance to come see a fun show, drink some pints, and have a great time.

So, June looks to be a very busy month for us.  We will begin recording Lost At Sea at Earthling Studios and we have five shows already on the books.  Stay tuned, we have just got started!

04/10/07 - APRIL FOOLS
So, we thought we would tell you what is going on in the world of Fiffin Market during the month of April.  We have three shows including a CD Release show at Cosmos Coffee Cafe on April 20 for Acoustic San Diego.  Glorified Records is putting out a compilation of 19 San Diego acoustic artists and our version of "The Night Pat Murphy Died" will be on the album.  Make sure you check out one of the four shows kicking off the compilation to the San Diego market.  We also have been extremely busy lining up more shows and getting ready to record vocals for our new album Lost At Sea.  We plan on resuming vocals next week and hopefully get back on track for a late May/June release date.  We will let you know.  See you at the shows and make sure you buy Acoustic San Diego to help support Glorified Records, Fiffin Market, and San Diego's local music scene...

03/17/07 - HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!
Drink a pint for our brothers for the battle was gallantly won!  See you at Thornton's Irish Pub tonight for a good time.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Love,
Fiffin Market

03/06/07 - MARCH MADNESS
It's that time of year again!  Not only does the country focus on their tournament brackets and spring training, they also get ready for St. Patrick's Day.   We will be taking a break from recording to play two shows over the holiday.  Our first show will be at Hooley's Irish Pub on Friday, March 16 in Rancho San Diego.  On the actual St. Patrick's Day we will be at Thornton's Irish Pub in El Cajon.  Sorry kids, both shows are 21+.  So, if you want to listen to some traditional Celtic folk music, drink a pint, and party with Fiffin Market, then come down to Hooley's or Thornton's and sing some songs with us.

We have finished tracking the music for Lost At Sea, and will resume recording vocals after the St. Patrick's Day shows.  Kimberly is up next and she has been very patient as the guys have been laying down the foundation of the album.  It is sounding great and we are excited to finally get a chance to sing these songs.

We have two more all-ages shows this month.  The first will be at Gateway Church in El Cajon this Friday, March 9.  We will be opening a benefit concert for the youth group of the church so they can decrease cost of mission camp this summer.  It is a good show for a good cause.  Next, we will be playing Upstart Crow in Seaport Village on Saturday, March 24.  This is one of our favorite coffee houses to play.

The new compilation from Glorified Records called Acoustic San Diego features our recording of "The Night Pat Murphy Died".   It has been sent off to be pressed and they are planning an April release.  It is a great collection of acoustic music from some very promising San Diego artists and we are honored to be a part of it.  We will be playing one of their CD Release shows and will update you when we receive more info.

That is all for now.  Have a great month of March, we will be keeping busy for sure.

02/26/07 - LOST AT SEA RECORDING UPDATE WEEK 3
So we have finally picked up some momentum in the recording process.  We have finished bass and acoustic guitar this past week.  We have also cut down the songs from 22 to 18, still a very big project for us.  We are very excited to have Odell start tracking viola this week.  This is a new element to Fiffin Market and adds so much to our style of traditional folk.  The foundation is now set and these songs are really starting to come  together.  We are on schedule to begin vocals next week, when Kimberly takes center stage.  We will also announce some big news in a couple days about our St. Patrick's Day plans.  Stay tuned...

02/20/07 - THE TITLE OF THE NEW ALBUM AND RECORDING UPDATE (WEEK #2)
We would like to announce the title of our sophomore album. *Drum Roll Please* The name of the next Fiffin Market full-length release is LOST AT SEA. There is a story involved with the title which will be explained on the album itself, but basically we felt a new direction in our music leaning more toward traditional folk roots. So, Fiffin Market gets lost at sea and returns with this new style and bravado. "Lost At Sea" will be the best Fiffin Market album yet and we are so excited to share these songs with you.
So this is going to be a long process. The main reason is the amount of material we are recording. This includes 18 to 22 songs for your listening pleasure. This past week Marcel recorded half his bass tracks and Beau recorded 40% of his acoustic guitar tracks. This week we will continue to record bass and acoustic guitar. Because of the amount of songs we are doing, we will probably will not finish things until the end of March so be patient, it will be well worth it.

02/12/07 - RECORDING UPDATE (WEEK #1)
We have wrapped up week #1  of recording at The Shack in Lakeside, CA.  Brinton was up first and took up the majority of the week recording drum tracks to 15 songs.  He did a great job of securing the foundation.  Beau is up next and has already tracked some acoustic guitar.  He will take up pretty much all of week #2.  It is coming out better than expected and we are so excited to continue this process and watch the songs take form over the next month.  Because of the amount of songs we are recording we set a goal of St. Patrick's Day to finish everything.  That of course is if everything goes to plan.  We want to put out the best album we can make.

01/14/07 - FIDDLE ME THIS, FIDDLE ME THAT
We would like to welcome the newest member to the Fiffin Market family - Odell Hobson.  He has joined the group playing the viola - a cousin of the fiddle.  A soccer junkie, Odell has been playing viola for years and as Marcel says "We have gone from a Nintendo to a Nintendo 64 just like that!"  Originally from Mississippi, he graduated with a degree in music from Arizona State.  He fits right in with the various personalities of FM and we are very happy to have him on board.  You can check out Odell and the rest of the band at our first show of 2007 this Saturday, January 20, at Cosmos Coffee Cafe with Free Air and Lenny Avenue.  We will also be playing at Dublin's Square on January 29.  We will begin recording after our January shows, so stay tuned for more information on the new album...

12/24/06 - MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  It has been a great 2006!  Beau and Kimberly got married in August - an absolutely perfect day and Kimberly looked like an angel.  Marcel joined the group and has added so much to our dynamic with his solid bass skills, strong vocals, and of course his showmanship.  He is a great guy to have around anytime. Brinton also joined Fiffin Market as our drummer.  If there is one guy who could fill that position the best, Brinton is that guy.  He understands our message and fits right in with our fun personalities.  We played tons of shows this year, including main stage at the House Of Blues Las Vegas (which was part of the Autumn Forever Tour with Free Air).  We don't have a show until January 20 at our beloved Cosmos, but that doesn't mean we won't be busy.  We will be adding member #5 real soon (stay tuned for an announcement).  *Hint* - he plays a stringed instrument.  Also, during our little break we will be getting ready to record the second Fiffin Market album.  All in all, 2007 will be another great year!

God Bless and have a safe holiday!
For to us a child is born
To us a son is given...
Isaiah 9:6

Love,
Fiffin Market
Kimberly. Beau, Marcel, & Brinton

12/09/06 - DECEMBER NEWS
Well, we have two more shows this month.  We will be playing Upstart Crow tonight and then a Christmas show at The Backyard in Escondido next Friday.  We have been working on some new material that will probably make its way to our new album.  We are planning on starting the recording process during the holiday season.  "Angels" and "My Dream" are two softer ballads we have added to our list of FM gems, so be on the look out when you see us live.  Also, "The Night Pat Murphy Died" will be our entry on the new Glorified Records compilation Acoustic San Diego.  We will check back in a couple weeks.  In the meantime, stay warm and finish your Christmas shopping!

11/23/06 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND BIRTHDAY
Happy Thanksgiving from Fiffin Market! May you all stuff your faces with turkey and cranberry sauce and have a wonderful time with your family. Also, Happy Birthday to Beau. Secretly the whole country is celebrating his birthday by eating, eating, eating, and eating some more. Way to unite the country Beau!

Be safe and be full-

God bless
Fiffin Market
Kimberly, Beau, Marcel, & Brinton

11/12/06 - NOVEMBER NEWS
Well, the 2006 Autumn Forever Tour is in the books.  It was a big success and we would like to thank our friends Free Air for making the trip with us and everyone who came out to the shows!  Now that we are back in town we have a busy schedule the rest of the year so make sure you come out to the shows and keep in touch.  Here are some FM tidbits to chew on...
We would like to introduce a new member to the growing Fiffin Market family.  His name is Brinton Ward and he will be playing drums and singing some vocals too.  Brinton debuted with us on the Autumn Forever Tour and did a fantastic job on such short notice.  So, make sure you give Brinton a high-five at
our next show!
Make sure you check out the new FM Merchandise at our shows.  We have new shirts (in S, M, L, XL) for only $10 and brand new buttons that you can get with a purchase of The Monterey or a shirt.  Sporting Fiffin Market gear is the new trend, don't miss out.
We will be playing four shows in November.  Three in San Diego and one up in Escondido.  Check out the Shows page for all the details.  With the full band in place our live performances have stepped up a notch.  Make it a Fiffin Market night for the family.
We would like to thank all our veterans for their service to our country, defending our freedom and way of life.  They are our true heroes.

10/22/06 - 2006 AUTUMN FOREVER TOUR
It's that time of year again.  We will be hitting the road November 2-5 for the 2006 Autumn Forever Tour.  We had so much fun last year we decided to make it an annual event.  A couple things will be different in this year's version. First, our good friends and label mates, Free Air, will be joining us on the tour.  Second, we will be making a stop in Flagstaff, AZ for the first time in FM history.  We hear it is beautiful there and we can't wait to check out the town and play a couple shows.   So, if you live in the Las Vegas, NV or Flagstaff, AZ areas please come out and see Fiffin Market and Free Air.  We will be playing two venues a night so there are no excuses to miss us this time around.  Here are some details:

November 2 - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Las Vegas, NV)
November 2 - House Of Blues (Las Vegas, NV)
November 3 - Hennessey's Tavern (Las Vegas, NV)
November 3 - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Las Vegas, NV)
November 4 - Campus Coffee Bean (Flagstaff, AZ)
November 4 - Charly's Pub (Flagstaff, AZ)

09/21/06 - OUR NEXT ALBUM AND GLORIFIED RECORDS
We have begun preproduction for our yet-to-be-titled, full-length album!!!  We plan on recording 10-15 songs.  We also will be releasing it on our new label Glorified Records.  This record will be a step up from our debut, The Monterey, as we will try to capture the atmosphere of our current live act, along with some new songs yet to be heard by our amazing fans.  The recording process will take us up to our 2006 Autumn Forever Tour (more info TBA), which will start the first week of November.  As for Glorified Records, they are a new label formed earlier this year and we are honored to be one of their first releases.  We love their direction as a label and can't wait to grow with them.  So, we apologize for the lack of local shows over the next couple months but we will be back in December with something special.  Stay tuned...

09/11/06 - HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN?
On this day of rememberance, we would like to pray for the people who lost there lives on that tragic day five years ago. We would would also like to thank the men and women of our military who are fighting to protect our freedom, and know that God is watching over you all.

With all of our hearts...
God Bless

08/30/06 - WE'RE BACK!!!
The wedding was amazing. After months of planning we were able to pull off our “Wedding in Wonderland”. Kimberly looked absolutely beautiful. We will have pictures up soon. All our friends and family were there and it meant the world to us. It was perfect. We love our parents and they did so much to make this day happen. Thank you Shawn, Jill, Tina, Mike, Rick & Marguerite!!! We would also like to thank Marcel for being the best DJ and making the experience fun for everyone. A big shout out to Beau’s sister Annie for helping with the graphic design
(www.skyartdesign.com), Berg & Berg Photography for the amazing pictures, Victor and Ron for the unexpected video footage, The Alpine Community Center, all our friends and family who helped set up, Beau’s grandma Marie for our stay at the Britt Scripps Inn, Ray for marrying us, and our awesome wedding party (Amber, Reshea, Amanda, Priscilla, Derek, Mike, Josh, Marcel, Corey, and Jordan). This was a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. Nothing is more important than our relationship as a married couple with God. He blessed August 5th, 2006 for us and we pray that He will continue to bless our marriage through the good times and bad. He is always there for us and we ultimately thank God for all He has provided.

After the wedding, we embarked on a weeklong honeymoon in Victoria, British Columbia. That’s right, we went to our neighbors of the north – Canada, eh. We stayed at the Fairmont Empress right on the harbour. We toured Victoria on scooters, ate at the fancy Bengal Lounge, drank High Tea at the Empress, ate fish and chips - twice, and visited the beautiful Butchart Gardens.  We also stayed three nights at Fossil Bay Resort.  Nothing is more relaxing than sitting in a hot tub with a glass of wine, overlooking the ocean, where all you can hear are the birds chirping and the waves crashing against the cliffs. We went to four beaches along the southern coast of Vancouver Island, hiking through forests to get to them. On our way back to Vancouver we saw a pod of killer whales putting on a show out in the water as if we were at Sea World. This was a much-needed vacation and we recommend everyone to take a trip to Victoria – it was fabulous!!!

Now back to business. Fiffin Market is getting ready for a very busy fall season. We will be playing lots of shows, including the 2006 Autumn Forever Tour. We also plan to hit the studio in October to begin recording our next album, which will be bigger and better than ever. If you haven’t noticed, our website and MySpace page have been overhauled with a new design. Let us know what you think of the new look. We will keep you updated as we add shows and more news. Our first show back will be at the Upstart Crow Trading Company in Sea Port Village on September 16. Come on down to this really cool venue in one of San Diego’s classic tourist sites. Stay tuned as we embark in the next chapter of Fiffin Market…

08/04/06 - OUR BIG DAY!!!
If you have been to one of our shows you probably have heard the story of how we got the name Fiffin Market. Well, it is a play on words and stands for "Fifth and Market". That is where Beau proposed to Kimberly on December 22, 2004, on the corner of Fifth and Market in downtown San Diego...the rest is history.

Well, our big day is finally here!!! The wedding is tomorrow, August 5, 2006 and we are so excited. This past month really hasn't been a break for Fiffin Market because we have been preparing for the biggest day of our lives. Now to make things difficult, which is what we do best, we decided to do an "Alice in Wonderland" theme. From teapots to a Mad Hatter cake, to card soldiers and the Cheshire Cat, the whole place will feel like you are in Wonderland. Marcel, the bass player and one of our best friends, is the wedding DJ and one of Beau's groomsmen. So we would like to thank him for everything he has done, especially since he is pulling double duty. Our good friends Ben Ingraham and Lenny Morris will be performing as well. Tomorrow is going to be amazing and we will have plenty of pictures and stories to tell once we get back from our honeymoon (which will be in Victoria, Canada).

We would also like to thank you all for your support in the first year of Fiffin Market. We have had so much fun playing shows and meeting a bunch new friends and sharing the stage with tons of talented artists. We plan on hitting the studio this fall to record our next album and get back to playing more shows soon. So stay tuned...

God Bless you all!

Love,
Beau and Kimberly

07/01/06 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMBERLY
We would like to wish the talent of Fiffin Market a very Happy 20th Birthday!!!  So...Happy Birthday Kimberly, we hope you had a great day!

06/20/06 - OUR BIG SHOW OF THE SUMMER
Because of our wedding in August, which will consume most of our time, our only show of the summer will be this Saturday night (June 24) at Cosmos Coffee Cafe. Ben Ingraham and PitchLaRooche will also be performing. This is going to be one of our best shows yet! Not only will we be rocking the infamous grounds of Cosmos, we will be celebrating Beau's sister Amanda's 15th birthday. We have a full set of new and old material to share with you all. So, if you want to have a great time this weekend, and don't want to wait until September to see Fiffin Market, get off the couch and head down to Cosmos Coffee Cafe on Saturday.

We put up some "rare" footage of us when we played at the Holy Grounds Coffee Lounge on our 2005 Autumn Forever Tour. Our friend Jesse is in the background playing the percussion. I think we were playing "The Night Pat Murphy Died" because Kimberly is looking at the lyrics - she always forgets the words :) The video is located on our MySpace page.

Also, we have a brand new slide show, and new pics up on MySpace. Take a look and let us know what you think.

That's it for now. Please come see us on Saturday, it's going to be a blast! Our next show after this weekend will be at Cosmos in September. Have a great summer!

p.s. Congratulations (in the voice of Mario from Mario Kart on N64) to our friends Jimmy and Yvette on your upcoming wedding this Sunday!

05/29/06 - HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY
We would like to take this time to pray for the fallen men and women of our beautiful country who fought to preserve our freedom. Thank you.

We hope everyone does not forget what they gave up for us.

Happy Memorial Day!

05/14/06 - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY AN OTHER INFO
We would like to wish all the mothers out there a very happy Mother's Day!  And to our moms Tina, Jill, and Betty: we don't know what we would do without you!

Happy 19th Birthday Bobby, who is a firefighter in the Air Force. We are very proud of you and have a blast in England.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our show in San Dimas last night. We had so much fun and can't wait to come back. Simplicity was great and we hope to play with you guys in the future. Also our next show is in a couple of weeks (Saturday, May 27) at The Canvas in San Marcos, CA. We will be sharing the stage with Pitch and Quinn Allan. So if you live in North County don't miss out!

05/05/06 - HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!!
Who is in the mood for a margarita? We hope you all have a fun Cinco De May celebration. Hopefully it will be as good as an El Guapo birthday party with a plethora of pinatas. On a more informative note, we have a show coming up next weekend in San Dimas, CA at the Safe Haven Coffee House (May 13). If you live in the area, please come and check us out along with Simplicity. The show will not disappoint.
Que Bueno!

04/17/06 - FM IN THE VILLAGE
We hope everyone had a great Easter holiday.  Now that Spring is around us, Fiffin Market is going to get back into the swing of things.  We have a show this Saturday, April 22 in Seaport Village at Upstart Crow Trading Company.  Please come and join us at one of San Diego's treasured landmarks.

04/04/06 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCEL!!!
We here at Fiffin Market would love to wish Marcel, associate bass player, a happy belated birthday!  We were out of town yesterday when he turned the big 26.
Que Bueno Marcel.

03/17/06 - HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!
Drink a pint for our brothers and have a fun and safe St. Patrick's Day!

Beau, Kimberly, & Marcel

03/15/06 - QUE BUENO
Two things...
First, we are playing with The Secrets Red and Brian James (very good artists by the way) at The Canvas this Saturday, March 18.  This will be our St. Paddy's Day show this year.  It is free, and The Canvas is an awesome venue.  If you are in the North County area or even San Diego County area, come up and hang out with us.  You will be entertained for sure.

Second, our good friend Marcel has joined the ranks of Fiffin Market to play bass, add some vocals, and bust out the ukulele every once in awhile. So if you are at one of our shows make sure you say hi and get Marcel's autograph because he is the man who coined the phrase: "Music is one of the two elements that enable human beings to live; the other is que bueno."  So true, oh so true...

03/02/06 - THE GREEN MONTH
Spring is in the air.  We love the month of March and we will be playing a couple shows to celebrate the "green month".  We have two shows at two of our favorite venues.  This Saturday, March 4, we will share the stage with Ben Ingraham and Lenny Avenue at La Mesa's finest, Cosmos Coffee Cafe.  This is our first true local show of 2006 so we hope many of you can come.  After that, we take the show up to San Marcos, CA to play with Brian James and The Secrets Red at The Canvas on March 18.  If you are in North County you don't want to miss that one.  Our good friend Marcel will be joining us for these two shows to provide some bass to our live set.
On a personal note, the wedding date is set!!!  We will be getting married on August 5, 2006.  Ben Ingraham and Lenny Avenue will be performing and Marcel will be the DJ.  It is going to be the greatest day of our lives, and this is just the beginning of an already beautiful relationship.  If you don't already know, Beau proposed to Kimberly in downtown San Diego at the corner of "Fifth and Market", hence the name.  Now we finally get to make it official!
Everyone take care and don't drink too much on St. Patrick's Day...
Love,
FM
Beau & Kimberly

02/14/06 - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
We hope you all have a wonderful day of love...
Now is that cheezy or what!
Love,
Beau & Kimberly

02/01/06 - NORTHERN BOUND
With the wedding quickly approaching, we are extremely busy around here.  This month we only have two shows, both away from La Mesa.  On the 10th, we will be playing His Place in Escondido, CA and then on the 24th we will be returning to Bellflower, Ca to play Angel City Cafe.  We are working on a few new songs as well, so stay tuned.  On a side note, one of our favorite bands, Great Big Sea, will be in Los Angeles at the El Rey Theater on the 15th.  If you are anywhere in Southern California you need to go to that show.

01/02/06 - HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
So, 2005 was busy first year for Fiffin Market.  We played many shows (including the Autumn Forever Tour) and put out two records: Our debut album "The Monterey" and a holiday album "Best Christmas Wishes".  We have made great strides since our first show at Cosmos in July.  We would like to thank everyone who came to our performances and bought our albums.  It means the world to us to be able to spread our music and message.
2006 is going to be another big year for us.  We plan on playing tons of shows, record an EP in the summer, and of course plan for our wedding in May!!!  Stay tuned for more from FM....
God Bless-
Fiffin Market
Beau & Kimberly

12/25/05 - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

To us a son is given...

10/13/05 - MAYBE NEXT YEAR
Okay, so our Padres fell to the Cardinals in the Division Series.  Our team was so frustrating, hopefully they will build for the future.  At least the Yankees lost, right?  So we have a couple shows coming up in the LA area: October 21 at Angel City Cafe in Bellflower and November 11 at The Node in Norwalk.  If you live up in the area come see us.  We then go back to Cosmos on November 12 to open for Lenny and Ben.  We are also currently putting together a small tour from November 15-20 featuring stops in Las Vegas and Phoenix, more details will be announced.
See you at the shows!

09/29/05 - NL WEST CHAMPS!
We here at Fiffin Market are huge baseball fans and the San Diego Padres are our team.  We want to congratulate them on winning the NL West and advancing to the playoffs for the first time since 1998.  Hopefully they will go out and shock the world!  Also, come see us play next Friday, October 7 at Acoustic Expressions in San Diego, CA.  We will be playing with Ian (our part-time cajon player) and the Dance Floor Prophets.
Go Padres!

09/17/05 - SICK DAY
Due to Kimberly getting hit with a pretty bad cold we had to move our show at The Dwelling in Spring Valley to Sunday, October 9.  We can't wait for next weekend!  Get better Kimberly.

09/13/05 - FALL PREVIEW
Back from a much needed vacation, we are ready to go out and play a bunch of shows this fall.  September is highlighted with our first feature show at Cosmos Coffee Cafe (La Mesa, CA) on the 24th.  Lenny, Ben, and Static Halo will be playing with us.  In October we will be making our second trip to Angel City Cafe in Bellflower, CA.  Maybe the hardcore kids will come in this time.  We will be playing at The Node (Norwalk, CA) and Cosmos again in November.  If you want our new album "The Monterey" come to one of these shows or the many others we plan on playing this autumn season.  Don't forget it is also available at SonicShed.com.

08/31/05 - VACATION
We will be hitting the road early tomorrow morning for a week vacation.  We are going up to Northern California for the wedding of Beau's father and then spending a couple days in San Francisco (including our first trip to Alcatraz).  On the way home we will take a slow drive south along the coast checking out Monterey and Big Sur.  When we get back from our vacation we will head up to Bellflower, CA to play the Angel City Cafe on Saturday, September 10.  Hope everyone has a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!  Our thoughts and prayers go to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

08/25/05 - SAN DIEGO RELAY FOR LIFE
We are honored to be a last minute addition to the fundraising event taking place this Saturday, August 27, down at Morely Field.  It is for a good cause and we encourage donations of any amount to the American Cancer Society.  The event will be taking place from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM.  We will be on stage at 4:00 P.M.  Hope you can make it!  If not, we will be playing at Cosmos Open Mic next Tuesday, and then we are on vacation for a week before we go up to Bellflower, CA to play the Angel City Cafe on September 10.

08/18/05 - BUSY, AREN'T WE ALL?
If you notice our schedule, it is pretty full over the next couple months, which is great!  Our main show this month will be this Saturday up in San Marcos at The Canvas Cafe.  We are playing with Henry Haney, and Ian will join us on the cajon.  We also will be playing two more open mics to finish off August.  We take a little vacation over Labor Day weekend, then right back to business when we get back.  So try to make it to one of our shows and buy our album The Monterey. Or go to SONICSHED.COM and purchase it right now!

08/01/05 - SONICSHED.COM AND THANK YOU
Our new album, “The Monterey” will be sold online exclusively through SONICSHED.COM.  They are a new online music store based out of San Diego County.  You can purchase the album through them online or go to one of our shows.
Thanks to all our family and friends, new and old, for coming to our CD Release Show on July 31.  It was a great night.  Getty City played an awesome opening set.  Also, thank you to Jamie for coming out and playing the cajon, well done.  The night was the real icebreaker for us.  We plan on playing many more shows so check our schedule to find out when you can see us next.  We will try to play Cosmos open mic, which is on Tuesday nights, on a regular basis since we live practically down the street (no excuses), including two more songs for you all tomorrow.  See you then!
